Your guide, Captain Clay McClain, has spent decades navigating these waters through a career in marine rescue and part-time chartering before going full-time. Today, he offers honest, hardworking service with an emphasis on safety and Southern hospitality.
Captain Clay served 31 years with the Mobile Fire Rescue Department, where he spent time as a marine rescue boat captain. His experience on the water—day or night, calm or stormy—means guests are in capable hands.
While working in public service, he also guided fishing trips part-time and has been a lifelong angler around Dauphin Island. Today, he’s a licensed captain offering full-time charter trips with a focus on giving guests a reliable and memorable day on the water.
